The Dead Sea, Nov.
19 (Petra) -- Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Wednesday attended a dinner banquet hosted by King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its establishment.
KADDB has completed its first decade of pioneering work in the field of defense industries.
It also supports the national economy and provides the Arab Army with the latest military technologies and equipments.
The ceremony, which took place at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center at the Dead Sea shores, formed a platform for a group of companies and organizations working in defense industries and interested in the activities of the bureau, notably Boeing and Hoklr and Koch.
The center has signed five cooperation agreements with a number of major defense companies, in the presence of HRH Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein.
Their Majesties the King and Queen and the audience viewed a short documentary film about the process of KADDB Center since its inception in 1999, its achievements and contributions to the national economy as the main producer of export-oriented industries in the Kingdom.
KADDB supplies a range of scientific and technical services to other Government ministries and departments.
KADDB also supplies these services to meet customer requirements; both national and international, where this results in an overall benefit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and does not conflict with KADDB's primary responsibilities.
King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) was established by Royal Decree on the 24th of August 1999 to provide an indigenous capability for the supply of independent, high-quality, efficient and cost-effective scientific and technical services to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF).
KADDB is the Jordanian research and development facility created to provide a one-stop solution for the supply of defense and commercial equipment optimized to the requirements of the Middle East.
KADDB is an independent Governmental military-civilian agency existing within the Jordan Armed Forces tasked with operating to best business practices with predetermined performance targets and is financed through the Defence vote as well as by income earned from the sale of technology, product and services.
KADDB is the region’s Center of excellence for the provision of Scientific and Technology driven solutions that aims to satisfy the commercial and military requirements of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) markets.
With its inimitable research and development facilities coupled with Jordan’s strategic location in the MENA Region, KADDB provides the global Defence market with a spectrum of partnership formulas to enhance and/or establish their business operations in Jordan.
It is the vision of KADDB to be the preferred partner in the Defence industry globally.
It focused on designing, developing and managing a portfolio of innovative products and solutions that meet and surpass the expectations of our stakeholders.
