Suffocation among Palestinians in clashes with Israeli soldiers in Abu Dis town
 
Ramallah, Sept 13 (Petra) - A number of Palestinians on Wednesday were suffocated due to inhaling tear gas fired at them by Israeli occupation forces during clashes erupted in Abu Dis town, southeast of the occupied Jerusalem.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that clashes broke out after the occupation troops stormed the town in order to carry out arrest campaigns against the locals.

Following the storming of Abu Dis, confrontations erupted between Israeli soldiers, who fired tear gas canisters against the residents and Palestinian youths, who defended themselves by throwing stones and empty bottles .

A number of Palestinian youths suffered suffocation due to severe tear gas inhalation, the statement added.
