Hundreds protest hike in prices
Amman, Feb. 2 (Petra) -- Hundreds of unionists and party members took to the streets in Amman following Friday prayers, protesting a recent government decision to hike the prices of foodstuffs and bread.

Protesters chanted slogans urging the government to reduce prices and abandon tax hikes on the vital goods. They also called on the government to reverse its decision and consider other options to address the budget deficit.

Similar protests were staged in other governorates, including Maan, Madaba and the Southern Mazzar in Karak.
