King receives Qatari deputy prime minister and foreign minister

Amman, June 13 (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II discussed with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani at Al Husseiniya Place on Wednesday, means to forge closer relations between Jordan and Qatar.

During the meeting, the Qatari deputy prime minister conveyed to His Majesty the greetings of the Emir Qatar of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said Qatar would provide 10,000 jobs for Jordanians in Doha, as well as a package of investments targeting infrastructure projects worth $ 500 million.

The meeting also focused on current regional developments and the need to intensify efforts to counter terrorism with a holistic approach.

The meeting was attended by chief of the Royal Court, the minister of foreign affairs and expatriates, His Majesty's advisor, the director of His Majesty's Office, His Majesty's advisor for economic affairs, as well as Qatari Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi.
