Jordan, Cyprus discuss economic cooperation
 
Amman, Oct.11 (Petra) -- Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and his Cypriot counterpart, Ioannis Kasoulides, Wednesday agreed to set up a joint team, that will, in a month, determine steps to increase economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The team will be also tasked with exploring ways of promoting bilateral cooperation and coordination n the political, defense, security, cultural and tourism fields.

The team will also review agreements that Jordan and Cyprus are planned to sign as soon as possible.

In a meeting, both ministers said they will set out a roadmap for developing bilateral relations, which have recently seen momentum and have grown significantly.

The two minister discussed bilateral ties and regional issues, including the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis and the war on terrorism.

The Cypriot minister said his country is looking forward to expanding cooperation with Jordan and commended the Kingdom's role in achieving security and stability in the region.
