Amman, April 5 (Petra) -- Ayman Al-Alawneh, Chairman of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), held separate meetings on Sunday with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Jordan, Hamad al-Marri, and the Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam, Noor Al-Huda Ahmad, to discuss expanding economic and investment cooperation.

According to a JBA statement, Al-Alawneh invited both diplomatic missions to participate in the "Economic Forum for Diplomatic Missions in Jordan," scheduled for Wednesday. The forum aims to bridge the gap between the local private sector and international investment opportunities.

During his talks with Ambassador al-Marri, Al-Alawneh emphasized the necessity of Arab economic integration to navigate global financial challenges and achieve sustainable development. He called for a revitalization of partnerships between Jordanian and Kuwaiti entrepreneurs to bolster bilateral trade volumes.

Ambassador al-Marri reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Amman. He noted that restructuring the relationships between Arab business communities is essential to keep pace with rapid regional and international economic shifts.

In a separate meeting with the Ambassador of Brunei, Al-Alawneh explored avenues for Jordanian private sector expansion into Asian markets. He highlighted the potential for effective partnerships in various investment sectors available in both nations.

Ambassador Noor Al-Huda Ahmad stressed the importance of networking between the business communities of Jordan and Brunei. She proposed the establishment of a joint business council to facilitate direct communication channels and streamline trade processes between the two countries.

The meetings were attended by JBA board members Bashar Al-Zoubi, Salah Al-Bitar, and Mahmoud Freihat, along with JBA Director General Tariq Hijazi.
